What is your reality?
As you contemplate the condition of your soil, think about what you have been putting into it. Are you relying upon fertilizers to feed your plants? Are you using pesticides or herbicides to control insects?
The use of chemical fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides and other toxic substances on your soil, for extended periods of time, can cause the life forms within your soil, macro-organisms and micro-organisms, to go dormant and cease to function. As a result, soil structure lacks oxygen, becomes anaerobic, and eventually, the penetration of water and oxygen into the soil and the absorption of critical nutrients up into the plants is compromised.
Healthy Soil
Soil in its original, natural state, is an amazing enterprising entity designed to support and sustain plant growth. Just like all other living things, soil (in its entirety) needs to breathe atmospheric oxygen, digest healthy, natural nutrients, and process waste materials in a healthy, complete manner. Macro-organisms and micro-organisms, are the living, moving life blood of your soil. Each cell within an organism has some negatively charged components and some positively charged components, and these electrical charges within each cell must remain in correct balance in relation to each other. If this balance is changed by the introduction of chemicals, soil particles can begin to attract and bond to each other magnetically, causing soil compaction.
